It is beautiful outside! So beautiful in fact that I have decided that even though I have to be in my office I want to enjoy this terrific weather. So I opened my window, got a cup of coffee and am blasting The Fray. Good stuff for a Tuesday afternoon at the office.

Ok so my new favorite thing is being able to watch episodes of my favorite TV shows online! How GREAT is that?!! Let me tell you for those of us who don't have or can't afford DVR it is a wonderful thing. Last week I missed Grey's Anatomy and I was totally able to catch it the next day thanks to this...http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing. Gotta love technology!
If you are a Heroe's fan like me then just go to NBC's website and stream episodes from them.

So my beautiful blues are not so beautiful right now. I am 99.9% sure I have pink eye. I am just waiting for conformation from the doc. For some reason I get it really easily and I must say it is quite annoying. Thankfully since I have had it a few times before I know that it clears up really quickly. I am off to the doc at 11:10 a.m. I've got to get this junk cleared up so I can hold that precious nephew of mine!! :-)

I shared this recipe with my friend Cathy on her blog today. I figured it would be nice to share with the rest of you!
3 Tomatoe Spaghetti:
Ingredients:
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pound spaghetti
2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato oil (from oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes)
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ to ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 can (28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes with juice
½ cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 pound cherry tomatoes, halved
Directions:Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.Heat 2 tablespoons tomato oil in a large saucepan over mediumheat. Add garlic and crushed red pepper; cook until fragrant, 30 seconds. Add canned tomatoes with juice and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer gently over medium, stirring occasionally and breaking up canned tomatoes until thick, 15 minutes. Add cherry tomatoes; simmer until soft, 10 minutes.Drain spaghetti, reserving 1 cup pasta water; return pasta to pot. Add tomato mixture; season with salt and pepper. Toss, adding pasta water as desired. Serve immediately.
I am going to try it out tonight on my adopted college student. I will let you know how it goes.

My new favorit show is Veronica Mars. My roomie and her sis got me hooked. If you were to ask me to describe it I would say it is a modern day Nancy Drew type story with a very edgy plotline. It has just entered the third season with Veronica at college. I am LOVING it already. If you know me at all then you know that I have a thing for "crime shows" as my roomie lovingly refers to them. I believe that this would qualify as that. Pretty much every episode there is some sort of crime solved. It could be major like catching a murderer or finding a stolen dog. Check it out Tuesday nights on the CW.

Being an aunt is pretty much THE best part of my life right now. On Sunday I told Allison and Zach that it was like and early Christmas present. This little boy has turned my heart inside out. I love him SO much. All he has to do is look at me with those beautiful blues and I melt. I think of how much I love Tristan and then I think of how God loves me. I know that God's love for me pales in comparison to my love for Tristan. It is difficult to imagine though.

Presenting.....
Tristan Alexander Darnell. He weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz and is 20 inches long. Allison was in labor for about 7 hours. My mom, who was in the room with her, said she was a total champ! Last night I stayed at the hospital with Allison and Tristan so that Zach could go home and sleep. It was great. I was so glad to be able to help her and also I just love any time I can get with my nephew. He is the cutest thing EVER!!! I am so glad he is finally here. They get to come home from the hospital today so that is nice.

I am working very hard at not getting sick. I don't want to be sick. I have been taking airborne and also some left over antibiotics from last time I was at the doctor. For all of you who are cringing at the thought of me using an old prescription it is still good! I checked the date!! Anyways, I am not sure how well all of this stuff is working. My nephew is supposed to be born at any time. I don't want to be sick when he arrives. You really can't be around an infant when you are sick. UGH!! I need to get better.

I can't even tell you what it means to have a good roomie. Betsy moved in 1 year ago yesterday. It has been the best time having her live in my house. I have had some HORRIBLE roommate experiences. This, I would have to say, has been the best. Our personalities are so similar. We like a lot of the same things. We enjoy spending time together. She likes my friends and I like hers. We laugh and cry together. When I got in my car accident she came down and stood with me while I was being harassed by the person who hit me. Ok so I could go on and on... Let me just say that she is awesome and I love her! I don't know what I will do when Mike takes her away from me.

So here is the deal... I have had a livejournal for like EVER! Now most of my friends have blogs. I am switching because I like the format more. It is easier to control. So here I go...
