So in adding to the list of my weird health issues the latest is TMD (also know as TMJ). Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) occur as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw joint, and surrounding facial muscles that control chewing and moving the jaw. I woke up one morning just before Thanksgiving and could not open my jaw more than an inch. I thought it would pop back into place as it always does. It has been stuck this way ever since. I have been working with my dentist to figure out what is going on. He diagnosed me with TMD. I now wear a night guard to sleep with. Besides my jaw mobility being limited my dentist has told me I can't sing, eat foods that require lots of chewing, or talk very much. Ya...me...Lindsey...not supposed to talk much. LOL!

It really has not bothered me to much as of late. That is until I went to a wedding this past Saturday. At the reception there was lots of talking laughing, and singing. I guess I kind of forgot myself and participated in these activities. Well I have paid for it this week. I'm back to square one. I'm kind of living with my heating pad right now. I consider it a small miracle that I have made it through the work week.

So that is the continuing journey of my weird health issues. Thanks for listening and praying

I know it has been a WAY long time since I have blogged but here it goes...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the show NCIS.

I love the character dynamics and how it is a crime show but makes me laugh at the same time. So anyways, there is a character on the show named Abby. Whenever Abby is upset or something goes wrong she grabs her stuffed friend Bert. Bert is a Hippo. Not only is he totally adorable but he makes farting noises. LOL!

Here is a pic with Abby & Bert...
So I would love to have a stuffed animal like this. I did a bit of research. Come to find out the stuffed animal is real but the farting noises are not! They add them in the editing room. Such a dissapointment.
Still makes me laugh though... :-)

This past week my totally cute pair of glasses from Target broke. I was so bummed! Well this situation caused me to go back to the eye doctor and get an exam so that I could get glasses and contacts. While telling my parents about what I was going to do they mentioned that I should look in the Sunday paper for coupons to optical stores. I did and I found a great one! I got 2 complete pairs of glasses, lenses and frames, for $69! Can you believe that? I even think they are pretty cute! So if you are in need of glasses this is totally the place to go. I have not seen the coupon online but they do have one for 2 for $99. I think that is still a GREAT deal.

I tried to be healthy for lunch and in stead of my regular Chick-fil-a I went to Planet Smoothie. I got something called Billy Bob Banana. It has some of those "protien blasts" in it. All I have to say is OH WELL for trying to be healthy... I feel all sick to my stomach after drinking 1/4 of the drink that cost me $5.50. Now i'm eating saltine crackers to and trying not to throw up.
Tomorrow it is back to Chick-fil-a!

In the continuing saga of my back issues I got the results from my MRI today. It seems that I have a bulging disc in my lower back. What is a a bulging disc you may ask? Well here is what I found out from wisegeek.com...
A bulging disk is a condition related to the spine, usually the lumbar, or lowerl back that occurs when a disk bulges through a crevice in the spine. Disks are the soft, gelatinous material that cushions the vertebrae of the spine. A bulging disk occurs when the disk shifts out of its normal radius and most often occurs simply as a result of age.
Notice the last sentence. Ok people...i'm only 28! GEEZZZ!!! So anyways the doctor is sending me for physical therapy. I start that on Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. Hopefully this will get things on the road to recovery.

I discovered a great new store yesterday. It's called Movie Stop and it is in the Waterford Town Center. Basically the cool part about it is you can take your old dvd's and trade them in. When you do you can get credit to the store or cash. Getting the credit is a better value. I traded in Season 4 of Dawson's Creek and Season 1 of One Tree Hill. For that I got $24 in credit. I then purchased Season 1 of Bones. SO FUN! They have all kinds of great used dvd's for a really good price. So if you have some movies around that you don't watch anymore take them to Movie Stop and trade it for something you want!
