On April 7, in 10 days, my best friend Stacy is getting married. I am SO excited for her! This weekend is the bacheloretty party. Our other good friend, Amanda, is coming into town tomorrow night and we are going to begin the weekend of fun immediately. We will start off with dinner with Stacy & Mike. We are doing this because Amanda has never actually met Mike. Then on Saturday night we are going to Seasons 52 for dinner and then to All Fired Up to paint pottery for Stacy & Mike. It is going to be a good time. I can't even tell you how excited I am to have my to best friends in the same place!!!!

Instructions on what to do when the paper towel roll is finished:

1. take the empty roll off the paper towel holder
2. dispose of the empty roll
3. take out a new roll
4. put new roll on paper towel holder

These may seem like simple instructions but I think people need a refresher. In the past 2 days I have run into empty paper towel holders with the fresh roll sitting next to it. Like it takes SO much more work to put the new roll on the holder?

I have finished 2 of the movies off of my AFI's top 100 most passionate films list. Casablanca was first and it was good. I would not call it my most favorite ever by any means but it was a great flick and had awesome romantic qualities. Now for Dr. Zhivago. OH MY GOSH I had no idea how long that movie was. I watched it in 2 parts because it is over 3 hours long. It is an equally romantic film and you can get lost in the story but the length kind of throws a wrench in it. My next movie on the list is West Side Story. I am looking forward to that one. I have heard a lot of great things about it.

This was me last week. It started on Monday and I did not really feel better until Saturday! I have not been this sick since I was a little kid. I was not able to eat ANYTHING until Wednesday and then it was just a little bit of jello. By Friday I had moved up to jello, broth and toast. The benefit of not being able to eat anything...I lost 10 lbs in 5 days! CRAZY!! I am feeling much better now. Thankfully! I do have to say that my parents were AWESOME to me. My mom came and picked me up on Monday night and I stayed with them until Friday afternoon. She even got sick because she was taking care of me. What great parents. I feel very loved!

ABC's new drama series centers on a young, acclaimed novelist/screenwriter Nick Garret (played by "One Tree Hill" star Bryan Greenberg). Nick's best-selling novel is based on his hometown friends. He is at a crossroads in his life when he returns to his hometown to teach at the local university, and faces the family and friends he left behind. To the literary world he is a genius, but to his hometown he is a coward who betrayed their trust and their secrets. Now that he found a new job, Nick will have to deal with the past and try to move on with his life. - from

I didn't get to watch all of this show but caught about 3/4 of it. I have to say that it definitely peeked my interests. If for the sheer fact that I think that Bryan Greenburg is HOT! He and and one of my other favorite One Tree Hill characters "Mouth" both make appearances on the show. Good stuff!! Now that I have dvr I don't have to stay up late to watch it. I can just record it and watch whenever I want! Gotta love it!

Ok so I totally had this Snoopy sno-cone machine when I was younger! My sister used to play with it. Back in the good 'ol days of roller skates and jump ropes. I miss those days. I totally want this thing. They are selling it for $26 at Urban Outfitters. b-day is coming up in a couple months!

Also for those Starbucks music lovers out there here is something cool! Baumer, my cousin's band, is going to be on a Starbucks compilation called "Off the Clock Vol. 1: New Music from Up & Coming Starbucks Artists." It will be in all the Starbucks in America and Canada on April 3rd. Make sure to stop and pick one up along with your iced mochas.

Have I mentioned that I dislike birds? I have an unhealthy fear of them. They are very unpredictable. So knowing this here is my story of the morning...

I was sitting in the drive thru at Dunkin Doughnuts trying to get some coffee. Because I am in the drive thru I had my window rolled down so as to place my order. I am sitting there for a minute when I realize that there is a closed sign placed on the menu board. I am busy trying to figure out if this means that Baskin Robbins or Dunkin Doughnuts is closed when I hear a flutter of wings. I face forward and see a bird heading straight for my car. I panic and almost scream. It flew right above my head on the top of the car. I can hear it walking around up there. I closed my window and it seemed to take forever. I was paralyzed in side my car. Somehow afraid that the bird could get through the roof and into the car with me. Finally it fluttered away and I drove around to realize that the Dunkin Doughnuts was closed. So no coffee and a bird almost flew into my car. It was a traumatic morning!!

Ok so last night was disappointing from a TV standpoint. Ugly Betty and Greys Anatomy were both re-runs. Thankfully I stopped at Barnes & Noble on my way home and picked up "In An Instant" by Bob & Lee Woodruff. I am thoroughly enjoying this book. It is written from both of their perspectives in sort of a journal style. They are both excellent writers. Lee writes from the emotional, love story side and Bob writes from the cold, hard, factual and journalist side. I love that you get a bit of both. I am about 50 pages into it and can already tell it is going to be excellent. I'll let you know once I finish it. Probably this weekend...

I just LOVE Thursdays!!!

My roomie and I went to dinner at Crispers last night in WPV and then to see Music & Lyrics. Betsy and I both had heard some bad reviews about the flick but chose to see it anyway. I am SO glad we did. I thought it was good. It was funny, sweet and made me laugh. It won't be winning any Academy Awards but it was well worth my $7.50. Yeah we paid the student rate. The ticket guy thought we were cute or something. Oh yeah and Hugh Grant sings and dances in the movie. It doesn't get much better than that and he actually has a nice voice. Now his dance moves leave something to be desired.
